Living in Your Full Identity

God’s original plan for the creation of man and woman was that they would uniquely reflect certain attributes of who He was, in His fullness. It says in Genesis 1:26, “Let us make them, male and female, in OUR image.” Isn’t that interesting? From the beginning of time, God identified with different parts of Himself; as the Creator, the Word and the Spirit. Or the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It certainly reveals His mind and heart around the value of unique attributes and how they are distinctively expressed. All Him and yet in very different roles or personhoods.

I believe God wants His Church to receive fresh revelation today about the beauty of His divine design in us. Humans are set apart from nature and animals, the mandate to have dominion and subdue all living creatures,  was given to both men and women in Genesis 1:26-28. And God was specific that it was the land and the animals that humans were to dominate, never one another.

As a marriage counselor, I am passionate in helping to restore the Father’s heart for husbands and wives, to embrace their God-given strengths and weaknesses, to honor one another in their differences, both as male and female. As well as appreciate and encourage one another’s unique giftings, regardless of their gender, such as a leadership, empathy, creativity, innovation, and so much more.

And how do we value each each other in these same ways in all of our daily interactions? At the grocery store, in the church lobby or while our children play at the park…how can we see through the lens of the Kingdom and truly appreciate the “beautifully and wonderfully made” individuals before us, and engage one another with awe, curiosity, and mutual admiration? This is Heaven’s perspective: we were each designed with great intentionality, and every life is worthy, priceless in fact.

With that being said, I have recently been called by God to launch a  group that will help women realize their full potential in whatever Kingdom assignment that is set before them. Whether they are an executive, part of a ministry team, a volunteer, or whatever their marketplace influence might be…this group will call women higher, encourage them through biblical principles and strategic prayer. The mission of “FEW” is to awaken, activate and accelerate women for the advancement of God’s Kingdom, to bring revival to every atmosphere they enter. So, if you or a woman you know, is in need of a group like this, I encourage you to pass this email on to them.

Jesus died and rose again, so that through Him, all people would be reconciled back to the Father; master, slave, Jew, Gentile, male and female. It is time to live in our full identities in Christ and function as the Body was always designed to: with full authority, power and influence, all for the glory of God!
