Learning the Ways of the Kingdom
I recently finished producing my first-ever Masterclass. It was a very humbling and, at times, overwhelming process. How does one decide what information to include that would create the greatest impact in the lives of those who participate? I knew there were vital spiritual principles I wanted to include, ones that had brought significant freedom and healing to my counseling clients over the past 25 years, but it was still going to be a supernatural act of God for these ideas, themes, and practical applications to come together into a coherent stream of lessons. And supernatural it was, indeed.
One of the concepts I’d like to share with you today, is about the importance of learning to live with a Kingdom mindset. After years of this phrase coming out of my mouth it became a self-fulfilling prophesy; if it was my most common teaching and the daily conversation I was having with my clients, then shouldn’t it just be the name of my business? After many beloved friends, colleagues, and prophets began to confirm this was going to be an international/global movement, I added that to the name as well (Kingdom Mindset Global). Surprisingly, when I went to capture the domain, kingdommindset.com was already taken, but kingdommindset.global was available…confirmation!
So, what does it really mean, to live from a Kingdom mindset? John the Baptist came preaching that the “Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” He was the trumpet, the one to announce the coming of the Messiah, the One who was about to start His time of ministry. Jesus spent His time teaching those who had ears to hear, about a Kingdom. One that was unlike the world they lived in. And this Kingdom was reigned by a King who was inviting them to become citizens of this other-worldly place, where they would co-reign with Him. That no matter one’s status, Jew or Gentile, man or woman, master or slave, all would be offered the opportunity to be born-again, and to be adopted into His royal family, thereby possessing every treasure, blessing and authority that comes with such a position.
Many Christians understand the basic concept of becoming sons and daughters of God, and they acknowledge He is the King of the Universe, but most stop there. How many believers truly pursue understanding how a Kingdom operates, so that, they might partake of all that is available to them. Imagine if you moved to a new country, wouldn’t your first order of business be learning the rules, laws, and cultural norms of this foreign land? Especially it’s government, and how the ruler leads, to ensure your safety and ability to live your best life, in this new place? And yet, how many people do this with the Kingdom of God? The word “kingdom” is used in the Gospel of Matthew 53 times, and it was almost always being spoken of by Jesus.
So, when I teach and consult, my message is the same. How do I help people, both believers and those who are still seeking Truth, to learn about living their life from a Kingdom perspective? And then to reveal how these principles brings healing and victory to EVERY area of their lives. Strength and perseverance in their minds, courage to their hearts, healing to their physical bodies, and reconciliation to their relationships. Every nation and culture need this revelation. Thus, it is the mandate of Kingdom Mindset Global to establish Kingdom mindset standards in all nations (foundational guidelines to live by). Setting all lives free through having the mind of Christ.
